Cannes 2016 Winners

A big one of Europe cinema, English Ken Loach, won the Palm d' Or, a triumph achieved for his high artistic quality and his wake up call about the humans issues. The jury of Cannes 2016, gives the Palm for I, Daniel Blake, a film that tells two stories, but with one connection between the characters.

Another winner is the very known Juanjo Gimenez, with his long career as short filmmaker the producer won the Palm d' Or for Timecode, a mysterious story about two keepers, man and woman, the woman later discovers her passion for the man, for Gimenez is "a way to explore the worlds, world that I feel far away.... " not only that he likes to shock the viewer with certain situations in wrong places.

The Canadian Xavier Dolan was awrded with the Grand Jury Prize with his It's Only the end of the World, a movie taht touch his favorite theme: the family, but in loudly way.

The English Andrea Arnold won the Jury Prize for American honey, a travel through America in where a group of boys live selling suscriptions to all king of magazines, touching in this way the poverty in USA.

The Best Actor prize was for Shahab Hosseini, for his main role in Le Client, the last movie of Iranian Asghar Farhadi, in where the actor plays to a professos who is constantly degradating himself. The director also won for Best Script. Best Directin was for French Oliver Assayas with Personal Shopper and to the rumanian Christian Mungiu for Graduation. In the women side the winner was Jaclyn Jose for Ma' Rosa. The Best Movie prize was for Divines by Houda Benyamina, and the Best Movie of the Week by the critic was to Mimosas by Oliver Laxe.

Cannes 2016 was a true triumph, and while everything is over, we start right now to dream with the next edition.
