Chanel presented yesterday its Cruise collection 2016 in Havana, Cuba. It was a show in where the elegance and extravaganza of the fashion house was more than visible.

Celebrities, including Tilda Swinton and supermodel Gisele Bundchen were in the Caribbean island show, that evoked through glittering gowns, tulle cocktail dresses, Panama hats, models smoking cigars the elegance of the pre-revolutionary Cuba.

Brazilian top model Gisele Bundchen poses before a fashion show by German designer Karl Lagerfeld as part of his latest inter-seasonal Cruise collection for fashion house Chanel at the Paseo del Prado street in Havana, Cuba, May 3, 2016.
Karl Lagerfeld inspiration for his Cruise collection was "cultural richness and opening up of Cuba" and with this Chanel Chanel gets back to its roots.

The set this time let that the glamour of Havana, once a wealthy port, speak for itself, during the show we listened Cuban music and the models strutted down a 160 meter section of Paseo del Prado, lined with ornate street lamps and bronze lions.

It was a show that definitely let view the big contrast of glamour and the effects of communism, the contrast was so big that even look like something surreal, out of this world. But there is no deny that one more time Chanel presented exquisite models, perfect for a Caribbean holiday.
