The 2016 Academy Awards were handed last night in a ceremony marked by the old fashioned but still modern glamour of Hollywood, and with all the creativity and passion that is involved in the making of a film.
The ceremony was host by the comedian Chris Rock, whose work last night was incredible, especially because he knew how to handle the controversy caused by the lack of nomination of actors of color. During all the ceremony always existed a little allusion about that theme, but all without losing the grace.

But talking about what really matters; Mad Max: Fury Road won almost all the Oscars, except the big one, Best Picture, who was for the film “Spotlight”, a strong film, with deep performances. The award for Best Supporting Actress was for the chameleonic Alicia Vikander for her role in “The Danish Girl”; Best Supporting Actor was for Mark Rylance for “Bridge of Spies”. The award for Best Actress in a Leading Role was for Brie Larson, for “Room”, and the big anticipated winner of the night was Leonardo Di Caprio, who finally won his first Oscars for his role in “The Revenant”, a very well deserved award for an actor of different shades.

Alejandro G. Iñarritu, took the Oscar for Best Director for second consecutive year for the film “The Revenant”, who knows if the director breaks the record the next year with a third Oscar, in the same category. Best Animated film, “Inside Out” a film that portrays perfectly the emotions, and that no one denies that have something of psychology.
In music, Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes won for Best Song, thank to the Bond theme “Writing’s On The Wall.”
