Spring has arrived, and one of the trends that will mark this new season is the 70’s, the decade when novelist Tom Wolfe coined the term “Me decade” in his essay “The ‘Me’ Decade and the Third Great Awakening”, the fiber optics saw the light, the psychedelic rock was popular and a fashion designer named Nicolas Ghesquière born.

Nicolas Ghesquiere
The Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, used as a source of inspiration the 70s to create a collection for this season in where minidresses, wide velvet pants, navy blazers and boots, creates a feminine but strong look.

The textures and colors mix together to create a harmonic collection, fulfilled of pieces that are easy to wear.

Nicolas Ghesquière is, definitely, a designer that shows a Louis Vuitton more relaxed and coherent with the new times, placing fashion “between art and culture”.
